26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because[a] the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,[b] for those who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.
1.Our travel to the Promised Land who is the Father, through Christ who is our Way prepared by the Holy Spirit through His intercession for us
When Israel left Egypt they were traveling to the land God promised them and their destination was the land of Cannan where they will receive rest. When we are born again, though still physically in it, we spiritually leave the world and don't belong to the world anymore.
14 I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one.[a] 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.17 Sanctify them[b] in the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sake I consecrate myself,[c] that they also may be sanctified[d]in truth.
The destination of our spiritual journey is to reach the Father and be like Him, and the way we take is Christ. It is by being increasingly conformed to the image of Christ that we reach fully to the restoration into the image of God. Then we will know God completely not only from outside but also inwardly in us and we will enjoy eternal life completely. Only then we will know the complete rest as God experiences it.
Matthew 11:25-30 English Standard Version (ESV)
25 At that time Jesus declared, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; 26 yes, Father, for such was your gracious will.[a] 27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. 28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

12 Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. 13 But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end. 15 As it is said,
“Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”
Due to the intercession of the Holy Spirit, we can fulfill God's will to thank him in all circumstances with confidence and joy.
to have (hold) in the hand, in the sense of wearing, to have (hold) possession of the mind ( G2192 )
Thus the downward spiral into sin was caused because they did not "retain God" in "precise knowledge" or in other words they did not like to "wear God" in "precise knowledge". What we wear is what is seen outside about us. So we find that those who fall in the downward spiral into sin did not like to possess in their mind the "precise knowledge" of God in such a way that it affected their actions.

Ephesians 4:17-32
The New Life
17 Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds. 18 They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. 19 They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity. 20 But that is not the way you learned Christ!— 21 assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus, 22 to put off your old self,[a] which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, 23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another. 26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and give no opportunity to the devil. 28 Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need. 29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Colossians 3:8-10
8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

In this spiritual journey, God designs and arranges our future, surroundings, circumstances, trials, temptations, success, failures, encouragements, people, wealth and everything else associated with our lives perfectly so that we are changed by their help into the image of Christ.
So we really do not know what we need to make us like Christ. Our normal prayers are mostly directed to the building of our outer man ( soul & body ) like for food, clothing, job, status, peaceful state & surroundings, good friends etc. Only God knows what we need in this life to make us like Christ and so the Holy Spirit intercedes for us and helps us when our knowledge of this world & future and need is incomplete by always keeping our destination in view. Nobody prays for an enemy but when it is God's plan to teach us to love our enemies God will bring enemies before us.
God arranges this world perfectly for his elect to grow and develop into the full maturity of Christ and be restored to the image of God through the intercession of the Holy Spirit. It is because of this intercession of the Holy Spirit for the elect that all things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose.
So we can rejoice in our problems and trials due to the intercession of the Holy Spirit because they do not harm us but are in fact helpful to develop endurance and character in us and increase in us our hope of salvation.
Romans 5:3-5 New Living Translation (NLT)
3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

2. Wearing God in precise knowledge in mind and body

The word retain has the following meaning.
and the word knowledge means precise knowledge ( G1922 )

18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.[c]

നമ്മുടെ ബലഹീനതയില് ആത്മാവ് നമ്മെസഹായിക്കുന്നു. വേണ്ടവിധം പ്രാര്ഥിക്കേണ്ടതെങ്ങനെയെന്നു നമുക്കറിഞ്ഞുകൂടാ. എന്നാല്, അവാച്യമായ നെടുവീര്പ്പുകളാല് ആത്മാവുതന്നെ നമുക്കുവേണ്ടി മാധ്യസ്ഥ്യം വഹിക്കുന്നു.

താന്മുന്കൂട്ടി നിശ്ചയിച്ചവരെ അവിടുന്നു വിളിച്ചു; വിളിച്ചവരെ നീതീകരിച്ചു; നീതീകരിച്ചവരെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി.
റോമാ 8 : 26-30

അവിടുത്തെ വചനം അവര്ക്കു ഞാന് നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. എന്നാല്, ലോകം അവരെ ദ്വേഷിച്ചു. എന്തെന്നാല്, ഞാന് ലോകത്തിന്േറതല്ലാത്തതുപോലെ അവരും ലോകത്തിന്േറതല്ല.
ലോകത്തില്നിന്ന് അവരെ അവിടുന്ന് എടുക്കണം എന്നല്ല, ദുഷ്ടനില്നിന്ന് അവരെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളണം എന്നാണു ഞാന് പ്രാര്ഥിക്കുന്നത്.
ഞാന് ലോകത്തിന്േറതല്ലാത്തതുപോലെ അവരും ലോകത്തിന്േറതല്ല.
അവരെ അങ്ങ് സത്യത്താല് വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കണമേ! അവിടുത്തെ വചനമാണ് സത്യം.
അങ്ങ് എന്നെ ലോകത്തിലേക്കയച്ചതുപോലെ ഞാനും അവരെ ലോകത്തിലേക്കയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
യോഹന്നാന് 17 : 14-18
ഈ ലോകം വിട്ടിട്ടുള്ള നമ്മുടെ ആത്മീയ യാത്രയുടെ അവസാനം അഥവാ ലക്ഷ്യം പിതാവായ ദൈവമാണ്. പിതാവിനെപ്പോലെ ആകുക എന്നതാണ്. പിതാവിനെ പോലെ ആകുവാനുള്ള വഴി ക്രിസ്തുവാണ്. നമ്മൾ ആത്മീയമായി വളർന്ന് ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സാദൃശ്യത്തിൽ പൂർണമായി എത്തുമ്പോഴാണ് നമ്മൾ പിതാവിനെ പോലെ ആയി തീരുന്നത്. അപ്പോഴാണ് പാപത്താൽ നമ്മളിൽ തകർന്നുപോയ ദൈവത്തിൻറെ രൂപം വീണ്ടും യഥാസ്ഥാനപെടുന്നത്. അപ്പോൾ നമ്മൾ ദൈവത്തെ പുറമേ നിന്നു മാത്രമല്ല അമ്മേ നമ്മളിൽ കൂടി നന്നായി അറിയുന്നവർ ആയി മാറും. നമുക്ക് നിത്യജീവൻ പൂർണ്ണമായി ആസ്വദിക്കാൻ സാധിക്കും. അപ്പോഴാണ് നമുക്ക് ദൈവം തരുന്ന പൂർണമായ വിശ്രമം അനുഭവിക്കുവാൻ സാധിക്കുന്നത്.
യേശു പറഞ്ഞു: വഴിയും സത്യവും ജീവനും ഞാനാണ്. എന്നിലൂടെയല്ലാതെ ആരും പിതാവിന്െറ അടുക്കലേക്കു വരുന്നില്ല.
യോഹന്നാന് 14 : 6
ഏകസത്യദൈവമായ അവിടുത്തെയും അങ്ങ് അയ ച്ചയേശുക്രിസ്തുവിനെയും അറിയുക എന്നതാണ് നിത്യജീവന്.
യോഹന്നാന് 17 : 3

ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കാം. ഞാന് ശാന്തശീലനും വിനീതഹൃദയനുമാകയാല് എന്െറ നുകം വഹിക്കുകയും എന്നില്നിന്നു പഠിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുവിന്. അപ്പോള്, നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് ആശ്വാസം ലഭിക്കും.
എന്തെന്നാല്, എന്െറ നുകം വഹിക്കാനെളുപ്പമുള്ളതും ചുമട് ഭാരം കുറഞ്ഞതുമാണ്.
മത്തായി 11 : 25-30

ദൈവം നമ്മുടെ ഭാവി, ചുറ്റുപാട്, സാഹചര്യം, പരീക്ഷകൾ, പ്രലോഭനങ്ങൾ, ഉയർച്ചകൾ, താഴ്ചകൾ, വീഴ്ചകൾ, നമ്മൾ ഇടപെടുന്ന ആൾക്കാർ, നമ്മളുടെ സമ്പത്ത്, നമ്മളെ സംബന്ധിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാംതന്നെ നമ്മളെ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സാദൃശ്യത്തിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവരാൻ ഒരുക്കുന്നു
നമ്മളെ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെപ്പോലെ ആക്കുവാൻ നമുക്ക് എന്താണ് ആവശ്യം എന്ന് നമ്മൾ വ്യക്തമായി അറിയുന്നില്ല. അതുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ എന്തിനു വേണ്ടി പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കണമെന്ന് നാം അറിയുന്നില്ല.
നമ്മളുടെ സാധാരണ പ്രാർത്ഥനകൾ മിക്കവാറും നമ്മുടെ പുറമേ ഉള്ള മനുഷ്യനെ (പ്രാണനും ശരീരവും) പോഷിപ്പിക്കാൻ വേണ്ടിയുള്ളതായിരിക്കും. ഉദാഹരണത്തിന് നമ്മളുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥനകൾ നമ്മളുടെ ഭക്ഷണത്തിന് പറ്റിയും കൊടുക്കുവാനുള്ള തുണിയെ പറ്റിയും ജോലിയെപ്പറ്റി സമൂഹത്തിലുള്ള നമ്മുടെ പേരിനെപ്പറ്റി സമാധാനമുള്ള അയൽപക്കവും അന്തരീക്ഷത്തെ പറ്റിയും നല്ല സുഹൃത്തുക്കൾക്ക് വേണ്ടി ഒക്കെ ആയിരിക്കും
നമ്മളെ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെപ്പോലെ ആക്കുവാൻ നമുക്ക് എന്താണ് ആവശ്യമെന്ന് ദൈവത്തിന് മാത്രം അറിയാവുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവ് നമുക്ക് വേണ്ടി പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു. ഈ ലോകത്തെ പറ്റിയും ഭാവിയെ പറ്റിയും നമ്മൾ കൊള്ളാം അറിവ് അപൂർണ്ണമായതുകൊണ്ടു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവ് നമുക്ക് വേണ്ടി ഈ സാഹചര്യങ്ങൾ ഒരുക്കുവാൻ തക്ക തുണ നിന്ന് പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു. ഉദാഹരണത്തിന് ആരും ഒരു ശത്രുവിനെ ലഭിക്കാൻ വേണ്ടി പ്രാർഥിക്കുന്നില്ല പക്ഷേ എന്നാൽ ദൈവത്തിന് പദ്ധതിയിൽ സ്നേഹിക്കുവാൻ ദൈവം നമ്മളെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനായി ദൈവം ശത്രുക്കളെ നമുക്ക് തരുന്നു.
തൻറെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ട ശേഷിപ്പിനെ വളർത്തുവാൻ വേണ്ടി അവരെ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ പൂർണതയിലേക്ക് എത്തിക്കുവാൻ വേണ്ടി അവരെ ദൈവത്തിന് സാദൃശ്യത്തിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ വേണ്ടി ദൈവം ഈ ലോകത്തെ ഒരുക്കുന്നു.
പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ നമുക്ക് വേണ്ടിയുള്ള പ്രാർത്ഥന വഴിയാണ് ദൈവം ഈ ലോകത്തെയും ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരുക്കുന്നത്
പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ ഈ പ്രാർത്ഥന വഴി ദൈവം ലോകത്തെ ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരുക്കുന്നത് കൊണ്ടാണ് വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർക്ക് ഈ ലോകത്തിലുള്ള സകലതും നന്മയ്ക്കായി വ്യാപരിക്കുന്നത്
